It's Beginning To Look A Little Like Christmas

It's December 1st and I have been hearing that many have already begun to decorate for the Christmas season.  Some already have their trees put up and decorated, and there are even some who put up their outdoor lights before Thanksgiving.  Normally I start feeling festive by this time of year and I start to get the urge to bring out the stockings and nativity displays - but this year ... not so much.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas!  But since we are moving in two weeks {trying not to pass out here from the thought}, there is no point in decking these halls.  We will decorate the new place as we are moving into it a week before the big day.

So, for now I will gaze admiringly on my new centerpiece of winter berries, pine cones and Balsam scented candles; listen to Bing Crosby serenade me into the spirit; and mentally figure out where the tree will stand in our new family room.

This is definitely going to be a Christmas to remember, decorated or not!

Two weeks!!!

Pandora is good for setting a Christmas-y mood without all the frills.

Oh yes, we have already had Pandora on the "Ella Fitzgerald Christmas" station, playing our favorite tunes :)
