He Will Always Be My Baby

Yesterday was my son's birthday.  I honestly am having a hard time believing that he is four years old.  I still think of him as a baby I suppose - my little baby.  Then when I really look at him and I see the size of his feet or watch the way he drives his battery operated truck around the backyard ... it hits me ... he is getting so big.

Being in a new town is tricky when it comes to birthdays because we know so few people.  So, I was relieved when we asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday and he replied, "I wanna go camping".  Sure, camping in the middle of March in Oregon sounds a little crazy, but we knew that the time spent snuggled up in our 5th wheel, eating cake and opening presents would create great memories.  And it sure did!

He had a ball putting the candles in his cake (that he got to decorate).  And he didn't stop at four ... he wanted them all!  Why not?

The next morning brought rain to our campsite, but that didn't put a damper on bubble blowing!

And this mama's heart melted when he wanted to cuddle up on my lap at the end of the day.  Prooving that no matter what age he is, he will ALWAYS be my baby.

So much fun... what a perfect way for a little boy to celebrate his birthday, and make it a sweet one for his mama.
