Here's the skinny:
Raveled here
The warm, earthy tones of this yarn inspired me. It makes me think of spiced cider with cloves and cinnamon.
Pattern: Happy Birthday Throw by Emily Ivey
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Chunky in Spice
Time Elapsed: Hard to say - I bought the yarn in January and didn't start knitting until July. The bulk of the project was knit over three weeks.
Modifications/Notes: I omitted the fringe as I thought it looked higher-class without it. It was an easy repeating pattern that took little concentration, so I was able to enjoy some of my favorite Christmas movies as I knit.

Gasp! That top photo, Kelly! The light is amazing. You must email me and describe your method!!
And. The throw. You make me want to knit again! I love everything about it. The color, the pattern (I think ditching the tassels was very wise), and even your yarn selection. I made a baby blanket from the same kind and loved working with it.
Inspired, you have me, Kelly! Inspired!
Beautiful work! And, your photos are beautiful too.
Thank you ladies! It was my first blanket and I like how it turned out (I think my dad did too).
Christian - thanks for visiting! I have seen your lovely blog and have to say that you have rather beautiful photos yourself!
That turned out beautifully! I'm in love with the color and it looks great without the fringe - much more modern.
Thank you, Emily! I presume that you are the designer of the throw - great job, it was a joy to knit! I think I have to make one for myself :)
