Well goodness. Things have been CRAZY busy lately, and life has allowed me no time to read / knit / blog, etc. There are big changes going on around here, which I will begin sharing when the time is right. For now, I'd like to share a few images from our camping trip last weekend.
It is the end of the season for things like camping, fishing, and outdoor cookouts. We found that the weekend after Labor Day is the perfect time to get that last camping trip in. The campgrounds are nearly vacant, plenty of sites are available, and the weather is still gorgeous!
Throwing rocks into Fish Lake. We were the only people on that shore, and it was so beautiful to see the water glistening in the sun!
At dusk the water was still with the exception of the fish leaping out of the water and into the air. The bats came out and were hungry for insects that resided near the lake.
Once the kiddos were all tucked into bed in the trailer, my husband and I sat by the fire and talked about our future. It was one of those rare moments of relaxation and time alone together.
It was a very refreshing weekend, and ... the calm before the storm.
